Will check out the interactive site as well, although the ultimate Gallipoli recreation for me was Peter Weir&#039;s 1981 film of the same name: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082432/ with the iconic cover of Mark Lee being mowed down by Ottoman machinegunners. One of the more moving moments of my life, the more I began to understand the perfidy of the futile attack and the notion of &quot;cannon fodder.&quot; Makes one mad in a modern-day world.
