Ian,

with those sitting and leaning people on the ground of Adu Dhabi you reminded me of my flight from Munich to Sydney. We were supposed to had a stop in Beijing, which was correct. But then we were told that another stop is planned - in Shanghai. But it should be only for an hour.

After an hour, when people were standing in a big queue, wishing to get on the board of our plane, we were told, that we need to wait another hour. So all the people waiting in a queue, sat on the ground in the middle of Shanghai airport.

Eventhough we were finally waiting 8 hours, it somehow felt very friendly (maybe it was because the carpet on the airport was so comfy :)

Ian,

Did you ask someone in the airport what the Arabic said? I'd be curious to know...

I remember sitting in airports waiting for connecting flights, watching the people sleep on the floor wearing any possible combination of clothes. Some of them snoring away...

You certainly come in touch with different worlds and sometimes you wish it would not be so much of a close encounter. Television would be just fine, thank you. LOL

It is in these moments that I become aware of how small my world and the perception of it really is.

The journey has just begun .... take care .... and enjoy ..... last but not least just have fun.
